Elizabeth Haust was born in Moscow in 1993. She studied photography in The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in 2008−2011. In 2013 Elizabeth participated in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait exhibition in National Portrait Gallery in London. In 2016 her project When children see sins was included in the main project of 5th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art at Trehgornaya Manufaktura and participated in Young Portfolio exhibition in KMOPA, Japan. Haust works mostly with two mediums — photography and video, but she also creates collages and experimental perfumes. Elizabeth's style is interesting for her experimental techniques such as bleeding and sanding the paper surface, and for the artificial spirit of mythology that turns her artworks into meditational windows where her fictional characters secretly act behind the scenes. Nowadays Elizabeth lives in Prague and studies photography in FAMU.
