PHILIPPE JUSFORGUES

Philippe Jusforgues was born in 1967 in Paris. The artworks he creates since the early 2000s have no particular medium, they exist as a mix on the edge of collage and photography. The images Philippe uses in his works come from nowhere — it could be archive family photos or unknown pictures found in a flea market. His artistic method is a form of poetic recycling that redefines existing images into new beings and new harmonies that exist on their own regardless of their origin. Each series of works has its title as an introduction that sets the scene, but the contained works always remain untitled. Jusforgues' artworks participated in plenty of worldwide exhibitions and shows across Europe and US, such as Art Basel, FIAC, AIPAD, Paris Photo, Art Brussels, and many others. Nowadays, Philippe lives and works in Monaco.
